Showpony launched the #We给AShirt campaign to support local businesses by selling t-shirts 和 providing them a portion of the profits. Mooney said the company makes a lot of t-shirts, so it decided to provide an online method to manage sales, 处理, production 和 distribution to help out their friends 和 neighbors in downtown 奥古斯塔.
The campaign, which launched April 1, has raised in excess of $70,000 for businesses. The shirts sell for $20, with half being donated 和 the balance going toward production costs. This is a win-win situation: The businesses reap the benefits of the sales of the shirts 和 the production company benefits from the ongoing business running through their door.
“We launched with seven shirts, 和 the response from the community was really solid. More 和 more businesses asked us to be a part of it,穆尼说. Dozens of businesses have reached out to Showpony about the shirts.
The t-shirts, which are sold online, are designed by Showpony 和 sister company Wier/Stewart. Designs are presented to the businesses for final approval before being offered for sale.
Mooney said they try to make 20 t-shirts a week, with 10 dropping on Tuesday 和 the other 10 dropping on Friday. The shirts are only offered over a seven-day period before being taken down 和 allowing another 10 shirt designs to be sold.
Sean said that he underst和s the difficult times other local business owners are going through. He said it has been a humbling experience to provide a small bit of relief. “To be able to build those relationships 和 help them in their time of need, 是我们引以为豪的事情吗,他说.
